With the midfield issue, Villa needed to move the ball quickly centrally with Youri Tielemans being the key. He's started very well. Villa moving the ball with pace, purpose and crossing early - may be a weakness they've identified. #AVFC

John McGinn is supercharged. In one of those moods. Revved up. Head down, driving forward Emery shown a yellow by the referee, for some reason. #AVFC

#AVFC showing more attacking intent in 13 minutes than on Sunday. They feel and look a threat from crosses and set plays. Don't want to be one of those writers, but you can, indeed, feel the tension in the fans, both teams. Everything is greeted by an inhale of breath or a roar

MacPhee having a word with the ball boy and the fourth official. He and Emery want the ball in quickly and are already on the case of the officials for time-wasting. #AVFC

Atmosphere is so loud and striking that it must be so difficult for the players not to get swept up in this and instead play slow and feel the other team out. #AVFC

Villa Park waiting to explode. Clapping and roaring at every tackle/pass. McGinn's set piece is dangerous but no one is there at the back post. Even from kick off - Watkins back heeling it and running forward - #AVFC's intention was obvious. Start fast and forward

We're underway at Villa Park. Villa are kicking towards the Holte End first... #AVFC 0-0 Nottingham Forest (0-1 AGG)

Huge roar as the Villa players return in after the warm-up. Marinakis is here and has been watching from the sidelines. As has Amadou Onana. It's loud in Villa Park. I think, and hope, #AVFC will play with this emotion and be quicker/more forward-thinking as a result

Victor Lindelof starts in midfield. #AVFC and Unai Emery been working on this/practising during the week.

#AVFC XI: Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Pau, Digne; Tielemans, Lindelof; McGinn, Rogers, Buendia; Watkins One change from first leg. McGinn fit. Lindelof replaces Onana - has had substitute cameos in midfield this season but not started there. Big call
