Two in two for Broggio
Ben Broggio bagged his second goal in as many games for loan side Falkirk over the weekend, who were beaten 3-2 at home to Dundee United. Having netted his first professional goal in a 1-0 win over Dundee FC in midweek, the young forward opened the scoring 17 minutes in for the Bairns just three days later, on what was only his second league start for the club. There was also a maiden professional goal over the weekend for Thierry Katsukunya . The Wales youth international converted in the closing stages of Real Unión’s trip to Sestao to clinch all three points with a dramatic, late 2-1 triumph. In the Championship, Lewis Dobbin notched his eighth goal of the season for Preston North End, breaking the deadlock at Deepdale in the Lilywhites’ 2-2 draw with Watford. Emirates FA Cup fourth-round action saw Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba make his third appearance for West Bromwich Albion since joining the Baggies on deadline day, playing 17 minutes off the bench in a 3-1 defeat at Norwich. And in League One, there was a Reading debut for Kadan Young , the winger starting and completing 74 minutes of a thrilling 3-2 win at home to Wycombe Wanderers. Josh Feeney , meanwhile, played 90 minutes for Huddersfield Town who lost 1-0 at Stevenage. In League Two, there were starts for Sil Swinkels , Tommi O’Reilly and Kane Taylor , for Chesterfield, Crewe Alexandra and Oldham Athletic respectively. The Dutch defender completed 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw with Harrogate Town, O’Reilly played 81 minutes of Crewe’s 1-0 win at home to Gillingham and Taylor finished the first half of the Latics’ 1-1 draw at home to Fleetwood Town. For high-flying Swindon Town, Aidan Borland was a 72nd-minute substitute, as the Robins lost 3-1 away at Shrewsbury Town. Across Europe, Samuel Iling Jr made his debut for Pisa on Friday night, coming off the bench for the final 33 minutes of a 2-1 defeat at home to AC Milan. Enzo Barrenechea played 90 minutes as Benfica triumphed 2-1 away at Santa Clara, while Triston Rowe started for Annecy who drew 2-2 away at Stade Laval. On Saturday, Oliwier Zych claimed a second successive clean sheet for Raków Częstochowa, who drew 0-0 away at Zagłębie Lubin. And in non-league, Charlie Pavey played the final 21 minutes of Hereford’s 5-1 defeat at Southport, while Max Lott started and completed 65 minutes of Stratford Town’s 1-0 defeat to Real Bedford.
