Unai Emery on Morgan Rogers: "Fantastic. He's doing a fantastic season. He was always pushing, helping. Everyone was feeling good playing with him." #AVFC

John Townley

Unai Emery: "The second half we couldn't [play], they pushed us. They were in our box more times than we wanted. We tried to get some momentum to dominate. We created one chance with Matty Cash but they created more. It's a very good point." #AVFC

The Athletic

Arsenal extend their lead at the top of the Premier League, while a win for Chelsea moves them to within one point of Manchester United in fourth. Aston Villa miss the chance to go second, dropping points against Bournemouth.

AFC Bournemouth 1-1 Aston Villa

Match report from Premier League clash at Vitality Stadium

John Townley

#AVFC are held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. Morgan Rogers opened the scoring, before an error of judgment by Lucas Digne allowed Rayan to equalise. Never a bad point at Bournemouth, but Villa could have earned a big win today...…

Jacob Tanswell

FT: Bournemouth 1-1 #AVFC Villa flat in the 2nd half and looked tired, without ideas & disorganised with the ball. Bournemouth missed chances but Martinez stayed strong & players headed (Onana six headers from set plays) & blocked well. Point not ideal, but could've been worse

Jacob Tanswell

Tammy Abraham and Lamare Bogarde are coming on. #AVFC get into Bournemouth's half for the first time in a good while. Corner.

Jacob Tanswell

Martinez tips Christie's shot over the bar. You don't say this a lot, but #AVFC look really unsure of themselves and the plan.

Jacob Tanswell

Ian Maatsen replaces Jadon Sancho and Ross Barkley comes on for Douglas Luiz. #AVFC have become very passive and oddly look quite leggy. Barkley has a great record against Bournemouth...

Jacob Tanswell

Emery has not quite been as animated as usual. #AVFC slightly flat and haven't adjusted brilliantly since the break. But the game is open, so chances could come out of nowhere
