HT: #AVFC 1-0 West Ham Villa excellent. Rotations, starting outwide, are pulling a weird West Ham set-up apart. Villa's left side been combining sharply, with Barkley/Sancho/Watkins rejuvenated. Villa so dominant - need to keep standards as West Ham will surely change shape

HT: Villa lead at the break thanks to John McGinn's second goal this week. He tucked it away nicely too. It was a much-improved first half performance after recent league defeats, with Ollie Watkins looking sharper. Villa could easily be two or three goals up. #AVFC 1-0 West Ham

West Ham should have stayed with the back five. Todibo's injury and subsequent change to a four has meant they're toiling with #AVFC's excellent tempo and movement. Digne has the space of the Midlands

GOAL: JOHNN McGINNNN! A set-piece routine straight from Bodymoor. Matty Cash to Jadon Sancho, then onto McGinn, who wraps the ball past Mads Hermansen. Lovely finish from the skipper. #AVFC 1-0 West Ham

#AVFC go close with Sancho's low cross & Digne's strike from distance. Aside from a weird switch attempt, Cash's corners have been a really good development this season. Already put in two good ones. On the same side, Sancho has started to run beyond the backline more recently.
