Watkins fires over after good play from #AVFC. Emery motions the shot he would have done - but Villa went through the gears much better. Starting to get McGinn and Buendia coming inside and little combinations with the FBs and CMs.

The No 10 on the opposite side is the player free. Fulham keeping #AVFC down one side (hence why they don't let Pau receive from goal kicks but do with Konsa). If Villa are going to open Fulham up (Pau has just done with a diagonal pass to McGinn) they need to find the 10 quicker

#AVFC have won 12 games this season by a one goal margin. Especially away from home, Emery is happy to keep things tight and wait for the game to develop in the second half. You'd like to think, and have planned, to step things up second half. No changes.
